BEST TUNA SALAD EVER

This is a recipe my Mom always made and I was an adult before I realized there are other ways to make it. She used chunk light tuna, but I prefer albacore.

My family adores this sweet, crunchy treat and I usually have to quadruple the recipe for them so there is enough left for me. Remember, you need to keep this dish refrigerated.


BEST TUNA SALAD EVER

Ingredients 
1 can (3 1/2 oz) albacore tuna, packed in water
1 boiled egg
1/4 medium Vidalia onion, chopped (or other sweet onion)
1/4 large apple, peeled and chopped(I usually use a Delicious variety or a Gala)
1 mounded teaspoon sweet pickle relish 
Miracle Whip

Open tuna and drain well.  Chop the egg and add with the apple, onion and relish to the tuna. 

Add enough Miracle Whip to bind the other ingredients together.  Don't overdo on this. You can always use more later. With the salad still on the dry side, cover and refrigerate for at least an hour. 


Serve and enjoy.
